T.R.I.P.

Program Policies and Procedures

In order to participate in FAF T.R.I.P. and establish and account, each applicant MUST sign an annual registration form, which stipulates that you will abide by all the following listed program policies and procedures. It will be necessary to re-enroll in the program each school year.

    1. Registrants/Participants in the program may direct tuition credit to:
      - their own personal tuition account
      - another family's tuition account (*this can be confidential)
      - the T.R.I.P. overhead account
      - a scholarship fund account

    2. T.R.I.P. earnings will be applied first to any prior balances, if such balances exist.

    3. The accumulated T.R.I.P. earnings in each participating family's account will be held in the FAF T.R.I.P. bank account. It is expected that a full tuition payment will be made by all families to Faith Academy of Findlay for each month, except for the months of December and June (or subsequent months if tuition credits earned deem this to be necessary). All tuition accounts will be adjusted as of December 1st and June 1st to reflect T.R.I.P. credits earned. A statement of tuition credits earned will be distributed twice a year during the months of November and May. Any discrepancies in such statements must be brought to the attention of the FAF T.R.I.P. Coordinator within 10 (ten) days and before final amounts are credited by the Financial Department. The amount of weekly tuition credit earned will be shown on each participant's account label on the order envelope for each week that an order is placed. It is each participant's responsibility to keep track of tuition credits earned and compare them against the bi-annual statements for accuracy.

    4. The FAF T.R.I.P. Program is being offered to provide tuition reduction for the families of Faith Academy of Findlay, therefore, any money collected in your T.R.I.P. account will be paid to FAF only for the reduction of tuition, fees, etc. If you child(ren) no longer attends Faith Academy of Findlay for any reason, the monies held under your account can be distributed as illustrated above in #2. Written notification of where funds are to be credited must be received no later than 60 (sixty) days after the child(ren) has discontinued attendance at FAF. Otherwise, the remaining funds will become property of the FAF T.R.I.P. Program to be used at the discretion of the T.R.I.P. Coordinator and the school principal.

    5. One percent of the dollar amount of all certificates ordered, except those designated by the FAF T.R.I.P. Program (which is those merchants giving 4% or less discount), will be held in the FAF T.R.I.P. account to pay for the general operating expenses of the FAF T.R.I.P. Program. Also, until such time as warranted, a $1.00 shipping fee will be added to all T.R.I.P. orders to cover the cost of shipping a weekly order.

    6. All certificates ordered must be accompanied by a check or money order made payable to Faith Academy of Findlay (NO cash will be accepted). The back of all checks will be denoted "NON-TAX DEDUCTIBLE," because all participants are receiving a dollar for dollar value. If the check is for an incorrect amount, the order will be adjusted to allow for processing of that order. The check amount will stand as written. Payments made to the FAF T.R.I.P. account are not considered donations.

    7. Only one order form per registrant per week and only one check per order.

    8. Family and Friends may help a T.R.I.P. participant reduce their tuition costs by ordering certificates on a participant's order blank. In such cases, their checks must be made payable to the T.R.I.P. participant. Otherwise, if others wish to participate on a regular basis, they must register for their own T.R.I.P. account and designate that their credits are to be applied to your tuition account.

    9. Anyone writing a non-sufficient funds check will incur a fee of $30.00. The fee will have to be paid in cash to the FAF T.R.I.P. office before your next order can be processed. If two non-sufficient funds checks are tendered on your account in the same school year, we will only be able to accept future T.R.I.P. orders with a money order. The amount of the initial check must also be covered in order to continue in the FAF T.R.I.P. Program.

    10. Order drop-off:
Order drop-off time is Tuesday mornings between the hours of 8:30-9:15 a.m. in the school office. If this is inconvenient for you, you may drop your order off in the office any day prior to the order date. Orders for the following week may also be dropped off during the order pick-up time. No new orders will be accepted after 9:15 a.m. on Tuesdays.

    11. Order pick-up:
Parent/Adult Pick-Up: The entire FAF T.R.I.P. order will be processed and made available for pick-up as soon as possible after being received and processing is completed (generally Thursday afternoons). Once processing is complete, notification will be posted outside of each classroom and in the school office. All orders must be signed for when they are picked up! Once and order is signed out, it will be assumed that everything is correct concerning your order. There will be no adjustments once an order has been signed out! Should there happen to be a problem with an order (i.e. missing certificates, incorrect denominations, etc.) please bring it to the immediate attention of an office staff member. If a participant is unable to pick up an order, it will be held in a secure location for pick up the following day.

    12. T.R.I.P. certificates are the same as cash. Neither FAF nor the T.R.I.P. Program committee will accept responsibility for lost or misplaced certificates.

    13. If school is canceled on a Tuesday morning due to vacation or inclement weather conditions, the weekly T.R.I.P. order will also be canceled. If school is delayed on a Tuesday morning, orders will be placed as usual.

    14. The T.R.I.P. Program will run weekly throughout the school year with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break or other Tuesday holidays. If enough volunteers are available, the possibility of running the T.R.I.P. Program throughout the summer months will be considered.

    15. Having a FAF T.R.I.P. account does not guarantee placement in FAF for the upcoming school year. All FAF applicants must follow the normal FAF enrollment process.

    16. Participation in the T.R.I.P. Program is a privilege, not a right. The T.R.I.P. committee reserves the right to suspend any individual's participation in this program should it be deemed necessary. Please remember that any abuse of this program will endanger everyone involved!
    17. Non-Discriminatory Policy: FAF recruits and admits students of any race, color or ethnic origin to all its rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school as long as they are in agreement with the FAF Statement of Faith, its philosophy and objectives. In addition, the school will not discriminate on the basis of race, color or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational programs and athletic/extracurricular activities.
